Oris Debuts Social Club Edition II Watch
Oris has officially revealed the Social Club Edition II, an exclusive timepiece crafted for its worldwide online community. This distinctive variant of the Aquis Relief, part of the brand's releases for Geneva Watch Days, will be sold exclusively online. It boasts a striking green NATO-style strap, appealing to the brand's numerous global chapters.
This special Aquis model, measuring 43.5mm in diameter with a 13.1mm thickness and a 51mm lug-to-lug distance, features a robust steel case and a frosted silver dial. A delightful detail for enthusiasts is the Oris Bear mascot appearing on the first day of each month in the date window. The watch's reverse side reveals a custom caseback showcasing the Oris factory in Holstein, along with an 'OSC | INT' engraving, signifying its international club ties. Powering the watch is the Oris 733 movement, an automatic Swiss-made caliber based on the Sellita SW 200-1, operating at 4 Hz and displaying the date at 6 o'clock. The watch offers a water resistance of 300 meters.
A notable design choice for the Social Club Edition II is the integration of lug adapters, allowing the Aquis' unique lugs to accommodate a green NATO strap. This marks the first time in over a decade that an Aquis date model has featured a NATO strap. Available in September for CHF 2,100 exclusively through Oris's online store, this edition is not limited, ensuring accessibility for its dedicated fanbase. Its blend of a steel bezel, silver dial, and green strap, combined with the practical lug adapters, offers a distinctive and appealing aesthetic for those who appreciate both larger timepieces and the versatility of NATO straps.
The Oris Social Club Edition II stands out as a testament to innovation and community engagement within the watchmaking world. By embracing unique design elements and catering to its dedicated online following, Oris demonstrates a forward-thinking approach that strengthens brand loyalty and offers consumers both distinctive style and reliable performance. This release encourages a sense of belonging and passion, reminding us that true excellence often lies in thoughtful details and meaningful connections.
