Yema, a renowned French watchmaker, continues its trajectory of reinterpreting historical designs with contemporary mechanical prowess. The brand's latest offering, the Skin Diver Slim Bronze CMM.20 Limited Edition, exemplifies this approach, integrating a bronze case with their innovative in-house micro-rotor movement. This release builds upon the success of previous Skin Diver Slim models, further solidifying Yema's commitment to both its heritage and advanced watchmaking.

The timepiece boasts a 39mm bronze case, meticulously crafted with brushed surfaces and polished edges, resulting in a refined yet rugged aesthetic. Its slender 10mm profile and 47mm lug-to-lug distance ensure a comfortable fit. A distinctive feature is the "faded ghost" sapphire bezel, which evokes the charm of vintage bakelite bezels found on mid-century diving watches. This unidirectional bezel is marked with a 0-60 scale and features a luminous dot at the 12 o'clock position. The watch is equipped with a robust screw-down crown and a sapphire exhibition caseback, providing an impressive 300-meter water resistance.

The dial of this model complements the bronze case with its dark grey, enamel-like finish. Familiar design elements include prominent triangular hour markers and Arabic numerals at the cardinal points, all filled with a lime-toned Super-LumiNova and outlined in gilt (IP Bronze), harmonizing with the case's warm tones. The oversized arrow minute hand, pencil-style hour hand, and lollipop seconds hand contribute to excellent legibility while maintaining Yema’s distinctive retro style.

At the heart of the Skin Diver Slim Bronze CMM.20 is the Calibre Manufacture Morteau 20 (CMM.20), an in-house automatic micro-rotor movement developed in France in collaboration with Swiss watchmaker Olivier Mory. Measuring a mere 3.7mm in thickness, this ultra-slim caliber allows for the watch's compact dimensions. Despite its svelte profile, it offers a substantial 70-hour power reserve from a single barrel. The movement features a bi-directional tungsten micro-rotor and operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour, achieving a chronometer-level accuracy of -3/+7 seconds per day.

The Skin Diver Slim Bronze is presented on an FKM Viton rubber strap, secured with a bronze pin buckle that will develop a consistent patina with the case over time. This limited edition comprises 200 individually numbered pieces, retailing at EUR 2,249. Additionally, Yema offers a non-limited version with a green dial and a matching green FKM strap, sharing the same specifications and price, but with white numerals on the bezel and white lume on the dial.
