India Watch Weekend Returns to Showcase Thriving Watch Culture

January 12

The second annual India Watch Weekend is scheduled to take place on January 17–18, 2026, building upon the success of its inaugural event. Hosted at the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel in Mumbai, this year's exhibition promises an expanded program, reflecting the dynamic growth and increasing prominence of India's watch collecting community on the international stage.

Sixteen distinguished watch brands have already confirmed their participation, presenting a compelling blend of venerable maisons and innovative independent watchmakers. Among the confirmed attendees are A. Lange & Söhne, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Panerai, Roger Dubuis, Baume & Mercier, Grand Seiko, DOXA, Moritz Grossmann, Tutima, EPOS, Laine Watches, MING, GENUS, Adra Labs, Nalla Neram, and Dunselman Watchmaking, with additional participants expected to join. Beyond the brand presentations, the event will offer a rich program including collector roundtables, detailed brand showcases, and engaging panel discussions, all designed to deepen interaction and foster insightful conversations within the horological community. The prestigious Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie (FHH) will also be present, underscoring the event's growing significance. Pascal Ravessoud, Vice President of FHH, emphasized that the India Watch Weekend serves as a powerful testament to the global reach of watchmaking culture, affirming India's emergence as an indispensable center for worldwide watch discourse.

The timing and expanded scope of this event are indicative of a significant market shift. As reported by Hodinkee's Senior Business Editor Andy Hoffman, watch exports to India saw a nearly 7% increase in the first eight months of 2025, following a substantial 30% surge in 2023, signaling a continued acceleration of interest in the region.

This event highlights the increasing global interconnectedness of the luxury watch industry and the vital role emerging markets play in its future. It underscores the idea that passion, craftsmanship, and a discerning appreciation for fine horology transcend geographical boundaries. The collective enthusiasm and growing expertise of watch collectors in India contribute significantly to enriching the worldwide conversation around watchmaking, fostering innovation and a deeper understanding of this intricate art form.
