Panerai Launches First 40mm Luminor GMT Ceramica PAM01460
Panerai is pushing the boundaries of its renowned Luminor series with the debut of the Luminor GMT Ceramica PAM01460. This marks the collection's first 40mm ceramic model, blending Italian artistry with Swiss precision in a sleek, advanced design. The timepiece, crafted from lightweight, scratch-resistant, and corrosion-proof sandblasted black ceramic, showcases Panerai's signature cushion case, integrated crown protection, and an impressive 300-meter water resistance.
The PAM01460 features a sleek, matte-black aesthetic that exudes modern elegance and durability. Its distinctive black sun-brushed sandwich dial is enhanced with luminous Arabic numerals and hour markers, utilizing white Super-LumiNova X2 for superior readability in dim lighting. The watch's GMT functionality, indicated by the "BiTempo" inscription (Italian for "dual time"), is displayed through a central 12-hour hand.
Driving the 40mm case is the automatic P.900/GMT caliber, a meticulously crafted and dependable movement developed entirely at Panerai’s Neuchâtel Manufacture. Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, this movement provides a three-day power reserve from a single barrel and includes a stop-second mechanism for precise time adjustments. The intricate details of the movement are visible through a smoked sapphire crystal case back. The Luminor GMT Ceramica PAM01460 comes with both a black calfskin strap and a black rubber strap, each featuring the convenient PAM Click Release System, and is priced at $15,800, excluding sales tax.
This innovative timepiece represents a harmonious blend of form and function, celebrating Panerai's rich heritage while embracing modern advancements. Its introduction underscores the brand's commitment to excellence and its ability to adapt classic designs for contemporary watch enthusiasts, inspiring a future where tradition and innovation coexist beautifully.
