On the evening of Thursday, November 13, in the horological heart of Geneva, the 25th Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève unfolded its annual spectacle of prestige and innovation. This momentous event, known universally as GPHG, gathered an elite international audience to witness the recognition of unparalleled craftsmanship in watchmaking. Presiding over the esteemed jury was journalist, author, and historian Nick Foulkes. Under his expert guidance, the Academy and the 2025 Jury meticulously selected 19 timepieces that truly encapsulate the dynamic spirit of the industry. The pinnacle of the evening’s awards, the highly coveted “Aiguille d'Or” Grand Prix, was bestowed upon Breguet for its exquisite Classique Souscription 2025. Esteemed brands including Angelus, Anton Suhanov, Audemars Piguet, Bovet 1822, Bvlgari, Chopard, Daniel Roth, Dennison, Dior Montres, Fam Al Hut, Gérald Genta, Greubel Forsey, L’Épée 1839, M.A.D. Editions, Urban Jürgensen, Voutilainen, and Zenith were recognized. Their winning creations showcased innovative designs, cutting-edge engineering, and profound mechanical artistry, each pushing the established limits of horological expression.
A special highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Special Jury Prize to Alain Dominique Perrin, president of the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain. This award acknowledged his significant and visionary efforts in promoting fine watchmaking on a global scale.
The winning timepieces, alongside all 90 nominated watches, will be exhibited at the Musée d’Art et d’Histoire in Geneva until November 16, 2025. Following this, these exceptional creations will journey to Dubai, where they will be featured from November 19 to 23 as part of the prestigious Dubai Watch Week.
