Vicenzaoro September 2026: A Hub for Jewelry Innovation and Industry Insights

July 29

Vicenzaoro is poised to become a central point for business, education, and networking within the global jewelry sector, scheduled from September 4th to 8th. This distinguished international exhibition by the Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) will encompass the entire gold, jewelry, and watch supply chain. The event will also feature T.Gold, a leading showcase for technological innovations in jewelry production, and commemorate the centenary of the CIBJO Congress. Additionally, VO Vintage will cater to enthusiasts of vintage timepieces and jewelry. Complementing these attractions will be an extensive educational agenda, meticulously crafted with input from esteemed institutions, trade organizations, companies, and international experts. Over five days, various sessions will delve into topics such as trend forecasting, contemporary consumption patterns, the impact of artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing techniques, gemology, and sustainability. These discussions aim to analyze the transformative shifts reshaping both the production and distribution aspects of the industry.

As highlighted by Matteo Farsura, IEG’s Global Exhibition Manager for Jewellery & Fashion, Vicenzaoro’s true value lies in its capacity to intertwine business activities with substantive content and a forward-looking strategic vision for the industry. It functions as a comprehensive knowledge hub, drawing on the expertise of leading industry figures to provide essential insights, analyses, and perspectives that bolster companies' competitive standing in the international marketplace. Starting this September, the event’s offerings will be further enriched by the integration of T.Gold directly within the Expo Centre, aligning its schedule fully with Vicenzaoro’s main program.

Trends, Economic Prospects, and Strategic Foresight

The "trend show" program will commence with "The Making of The Jewellery Trendbook 2028+" event, coinciding with the global unveiling of the publication that has consistently predicted luxury trends for the subsequent 18 months over two decades. For the first time, this session will offer an in-depth exploration of the research and forecasting methodologies employed by TRENDVISION Jewellery + Forecasting, Vicenzaoro’s independent jewelry trend observatory. Paola De Luca, Creative Director and Co-Founder, will elucidate how geopolitical, economic, social, cultural, and technological shifts are analyzed to shape the future of luxury and consumer behavior, ultimately revealing the trajectories that will influence the jewelry sector.

Confindustria Federorafi will host two sessions focusing on business competitiveness. A Saturday afternoon event, in partnership with Intesa Sanpaolo, titled “The jewellery industry facing the challenges of 2026: economic outlook, raw materials and the geography of the jewellery districts,” will deliver a comprehensive analysis of the economic climate, raw material availability, and the distribution of Italy’s prominent jewelry manufacturing hubs, featuring a panel discussion with leading Made in Italy companies. On Sunday morning, “Being There, Digitally. Jewellery between algorithms and people. Digital marketing trends for jewellery: data, channels and practical tips” will delve into contemporary digital marketing strategies tailored for the gold and jewelry industry.

Product Knowledge, Gemology, and 'Made in Italy' Excellence

A core principle of Vicenzaoro is the cultivation of product knowledge. The itinerary dedicated to gemological culture and jewelry heritage encompasses diverse topics, from Akoya pearls to Padparadscha sapphires and Mediterranean coral, alongside precise terminology for identifying gems and precious stones.

Events will begin Saturday afternoon with Assogemme’s meeting with Enzo Liverino for the discussion “Hands, Sea, Memory: Coral as a model of Italian sustainability.” On Sunday morning, the significant cultural, economic, and strategic value of the Akoya pearl will be explored in "The Future of the Akoya Pearl: A bridge between Japan and the global jewellery industry," organized by Preziosa Magazine. This event will feature top executives from the Japan Pearl Exporters’ Association and notable figures from the international jewelry community. The book "The Future of the Akoya Pearl," providing insights into Japan’s most iconic pearl’s historical excellence and future prospects, will also be launched. Monday will host the Gem Talks by IGI – Italian Gemmological Institute, offering an in-depth look at the unique allure of the Padparadscha, one of the rarest corundum varieties, and a historical journey through gemology, complemented by an exhibition at Vicenza’s Jewellery Museum.
