Norqain Debuts the Ultra-Light Wild ONE Skeleton X-Lite Sports Watch

April 11

Norqain, a brand that has rapidly established itself in the mechanical sports watch market since its inception in 2018, is known for its robust and distinctly styled timepieces. The Wild ONE series is central to its identity, crafted for peak performance during demanding physical activities and outdoor exploration. The latest addition, the Wild ONE Skeleton X-Lite, pushes these boundaries further by dramatically reducing the watch's weight to a mere 45 grams, all while maintaining superior shock resistance and suitability for everyday use. This limited-edition model, restricted to 200 units, is an embodiment of cutting-edge watchmaking.

Norqain Unveils Featherlight Sports Timepiece with Enhanced Durability

In a significant announcement, the brand Norqain has launched its innovative Wild ONE Skeleton X-Lite sports watch, a marvel of engineering designed for endurance and lightness. This timepiece, unveiled in April 2026, features a sophisticated case construction measuring 41mm in diameter and 11.95mm in thickness, meticulously assembled from over 30 individual components. The materials utilized include Norteq carbon composite, titanium, and aluminum. A pivotal advancement is the integration of X-Lite, a proprietary carbon fiber composite developed in collaboration with BIWI. This material, used for the casing ring, substantially contributes to the watch’s extraordinary lightness and its impressive shock absorption capabilities, allowing it to withstand impacts exceeding 5,000G. Additionally, the watch boasts a 100m water resistance rating, making it ideal for various aquatic activities. The yellow rubber-overmolded screw-down crown adds a touch of color, while a sapphire crystal caseback offers a view of the intricate movement within. The left side of the case includes a Norqain plate, offering a customization option for a personal message at an additional cost.

The dial of the Wild ONE Skeleton X-Lite is a study in functional aesthetics. Its skeletonized black design with vibrant yellow highlights not only reduces overall mass but also ensures excellent readability. The hour and minute hands are diamond-cut, faceted, black-plated, and openworked, featuring luminous tips. Applied markers outlined with Super-LumiNova further enhance visibility in low-light conditions.

Driving this remarkable watch is the new Norqain 4K Calibre (NBK26/1), an automatic, COSC-certified movement developed in partnership with AMT. Operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, this movement provides an impressive 65-hour power reserve, a notable improvement over the 41-hour reserve found in earlier Wild ONE Skeleton models. The movement’s open architecture, characterized by bridges and a rotor designed to evoke mountain peaks, subtly reinforces Norqain's recurring design motif inspired by natural landscapes.

The watch comes with two strap options: a black-and-yellow rubber strap with a perforated top layer, or an interchangeable ultra-light stretch base layer. Both options are secured with a Norteq pin buckle. The Norqain Wild ONE Skeleton X-Lite is available at a price of 10,650 EUR.

The introduction of the Norqain Wild ONE Skeleton X-Lite reflects a profound understanding of modern adventurers' needs. This timepiece isn't just about telling time; it's a companion for exploration, an engineering feat that challenges conventional notions of durability and comfort in sports watches. Its extreme lightness, combined with robust construction, sets a new benchmark, proving that high performance doesn't have to come with a hefty feel. This watch exemplifies how innovative material science and meticulous design can merge to create a product that truly enhances the wearer's experience, whether navigating urban landscapes or conquering rugged terrains. It’s an inspiring example of how a relatively young brand can lead innovation in a traditionally established industry, prioritizing user experience and pushing the boundaries of what's possible in watchmaking.
