Gérald Genta Unveils New Geneva Time Only Grafite and Marrone Watches in Precious Metals

January 21

Gérald Genta, a name synonymous with distinctive watch design, has unveiled two new additions to its esteemed Geneva Time Only collection. These new models, named Grafite and Marrone, are presented in luxurious white and pink gold, offering a fresh interpretation of the brand's iconic aesthetic.

The newly launched Gérald Genta Geneva Time Only watches showcase a sophisticated cushion-shaped case, measuring 38mm in diameter and a mere 8.15mm in thickness, giving them an elegant and sculptural profile. This design follows the aesthetic established by the Minute Repeater introduced last September, featuring softened contours that depart from the edgier lines of Genta's original 1970 creations. Powering these two-hand timepieces is the GG-005P automatic movement, a refined version of the Zenith Elite 670, which boasts a 50-hour power reserve and operates at a frequency of 4Hz. The intricate workings of the movement, comprising 158 components and featuring a redesigned rotor, are visible through a sapphire display case back.

Both the Marrone and Grafite models feature unique grained dials with a smoked gradient effect, complemented by 4N rose gold indexes and polished hands. The Marrone, crafted in rose gold and paired with a brown leather strap, exudes a warm, retro charm, while the Grafite, in white gold with a silver-gray dial and gray calfskin strap, offers a more contemporary and understated appeal. Priced at CHF 25,000 before taxes, these watches are positioned as expressions of Geneva's unique blend of restraint and opulence, perfectly capturing the city's sophisticated essence.

These exquisite timepieces from Gérald Genta are more than just instruments for telling time; they are miniature works of art that capture the spirit of a city renowned for its elegance and precision. They remind us that true craftsmanship and thoughtful design can transcend mere utility, offering a profound connection to heritage and an appreciation for timeless beauty.
