Favre Leuba Introduces Deep Raider Renaissance with Meteorite and Malachite Dials

April 29

Favre Leuba, a watchmaker with nearly three centuries of heritage, continues to impress with its ability to merge historical roots with contemporary watch design. While honoring its storied past, the brand consistently delivers modern interpretations and the high-quality craftsmanship expected in luxury timepieces today. Beyond its well-known Chief collection, Favre Leuba's offerings are diverse, and this range is now further enriched with the introduction of the Deep Raider Renaissance Meteorite and Deep Raider Renaissance Malachite. These models, first unveiled in November 2025, represent a significant stride in material-driven innovation and precise artistry, core principles that have defined the brand since its establishment in 1737.

The Deep Raider Renaissance timepieces retain the distinctive case design from the broader collection, offering a refreshed take on a classic. Crafted from stainless steel, the 40mm diameter and 12.69mm thick round case ensures a water resistance of 300 meters, emphasizing its practical durability. The design is not merely functional; elegant contours and polished chamfers on the tapered lugs add a touch of refined sophistication. The watches are equipped with a robust sapphire crystal and a ceramic unidirectional bezel, combining the resilience of professional diving instruments with a visually appealing form. For enhanced user experience, a screw-down crown, generously sized and textured, facilitates easy adjustments, a feature mirrored by the bezel's smooth operation.

Owners can choose between a rubber strap or a stainless steel bracelet with a combination of brushed and polished finishes. Both 20mm band options feature a quick-release system, allowing for effortless changes to suit any occasion or adventure.

The standout feature of these new Deep Raider Renaissance editions is their natural stone dials. The meteorite dial is sourced from the Muonionalusta meteorite, found in northern Sweden, and exhibits the characteristic Widmanstätten pattern, making each dial a unique cosmic artwork. Every meteorite dial undergoes meticulous cutting and treatment to preserve its inherent texture and strength. Similarly, the malachite dials are created from carefully selected pieces, chosen for their stability and distinct patterns. These are then precisely shaped into thin plates, reinforced when necessary, and polished under controlled temperatures, resulting in a unique display of natural green tones and intricate layered mineral patterns.

Favre Leuba has innovated the dial construction for the Meteorite version, employing a two-layer sandwich structure. The upper stone layer is complemented by a lower layer coated with Super-LumiNova, creating a striking sense of depth. Laser-cut hour apertures ensure brilliant luminescence in low-light conditions. Bold, luminous hands provide excellent legibility against the dial's surface. Each dial is completed with the Favre Leuba logo positioned at 6 o'clock and a subtle round date window situated between the four and five o'clock markers.

A sapphire caseback display on each Deep Raider Renaissance watch reveals the Swiss-made FLD02 self-winding caliber, which is based on the La-Joux Perret G100 movement. This movement underscores Favre Leuba's commitment to quality, offering exceptional accuracy and dependability with a 68-hour power reserve, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, and regulated to within -/+ 7 seconds per day. Beyond its reliability, the movement is a visual masterpiece, featuring meticulous finishing such as a custom skeletonized 4N rose gold rotor with Soleillage finishing, Côtes de Genève on the main plate, and heat-treated blued screws, all contributing to an impeccable mechanism that is almost as captivating as the dials themselves.

By harmoniously blending the majestic qualities of natural stone dials with the enduring and unique design of the Deep Raider Renaissance, Favre Leuba once again demonstrates its prowess in creating compelling timepieces. These watches seamlessly integrate into the brand's extensive history while simultaneously pushing its vision forward. The new models successfully capture the enigmatic charm of earthly and extra-terrestrial elements, all without compromising functionality or the inherent luxury associated with all Favre Leuba creations.
