Celebrating Unity and Excellence: A Resounding Success for the Jewelry Community
A Night of Festivity and Connection
On Thursday, December 18, 2025, the Elevate Lounge in downtown Los Angeles was transformed into a hub of excitement and camaraderie. Attendees were treated to an immersive cultural experience, featuring a rich array of Indian, Kosher, and Sushi cuisines. The evening was further enlivened by captivating live drumming and music, encouraging non-stop dancing. Interspersed with the merriment were raffle draws and a dynamic program of presentations and awards, reflecting the lively spirit and strong bonds within the jewelry community.
The Essence of Togetherness
Kalpesh Jhaveri, President of the Diamond Club West Coast, emphasized that the Holiday Party transcends mere celebration; it embodies the spirit of community. He expressed profound satisfaction at witnessing over 600 professionals from diverse facets of the industry converge. This assembly, he noted, powerfully demonstrated the resilience and interconnectedness of their collective, signaling promising future developments.
Recognizing Outstanding Contributions
A pivotal moment of the evening was the presentation of the DCWC's prestigious annual awards. These accolades honored individuals whose exceptional leadership, unwavering dedication, and significant contributions have consistently elevated the standards and prestige of the industry. The awards celebrated the very best, inspiring all present.
Distinguished Award Recipients
Among those recognized for their exemplary achievements were Anthony Kantor of M. Kantor and Associates, who received the Rookie of the Year award. Lisa Wiener from Worldwide Diamond Co. was honored as Member of the Year. The Lifetime Achievement Award was bestowed upon Mervyn Hahn of Los Angeles Diamond Factory, acknowledging his enduring impact on the trade.
Upholding Core Values and Inspiring Future Generations
Jhaveri articulated that the award recipients embody the foundational values of DCWC: integrity, commitment, and a lasting impact on the industry. He conveyed the honor in celebrating individuals who not only fortify the sector but also serve as beacons of inspiration for emerging talent.
Expression of Gratitude to Esteemed Partners
The DCWC extended heartfelt thanks to its generous sponsors and partners, whose invaluable support was instrumental in the event's success. Diamond Sponsor Krainz Creations, Platinum Sponsor Jewelers Mutual Group, and Silver Sponsors Gemological Institute of America, International Jewelry Center, Malca Amit, and Wallis Bank were all acknowledged. Additional appreciation went to Entertainment Sponsor Jewelers of America, Flower Sponsor Women’s Jewelry Association Los Angeles, and Video Sponsor ITJ Group.

Regina Ciarleglio, Vice President of Membership & Strategic Partnerships at Jewelers of America, shared her positive reflections on the annual gathering. She highlighted the impressive turnout and the pervasive sense of fellowship. Jewelers of America took pride in its sponsorship, anticipating continued collaboration with the Diamond Club West Coast.
A Moment of Reflection and Solidarity
Beyond the festive celebration, the community also gathered for a Chanukah luncheon hosted by Chabad of Israel at the Diamond Club West Coast. This event fostered unity and reflection during the Festival of Light. Jhaveri had the distinct honor of lighting the first Chanukah candle, symbolizing hope, resilience, and continuity. WFDB Vice President Moshe Salem delivered a poignant address on the tragic losses affecting Australian families, followed by a moving prayer led by Rabbi Asher for peace, healing, and strength. This somber yet powerful moment served as a profound reminder of enduring light and communal support in times of adversity.
Charting a Course for the Coming Year
As DCWC anticipates 2026, the organization is poised for continued growth and impact. A significant development in the preceding fall was the formal integration of the Jewelers 24 Karat Club of Southern California into the Diamond Club West Coast. This strategic merger honors the rich heritage of the 24K Club while simultaneously broadening access to DCWC's extensive services, resources, and global network, promising enhanced opportunities for all members.
Strengthening Collective Influence Through Collaboration
Kimberly Overlin, former President of the 24 Karat Club of Southern California, described the integration as a purposeful expansion. She articulated that by incorporating the 24K Club into DCWC, the collective voice of the industry is amplified, fostering greater opportunities for partnership, education, and business advancement for all members.
A Legacy of Growth and Ethical Standards
Established in 1946 and officially recognized as a WFDB affiliate in 1980, DCWC, headquartered in downtown Los Angeles' Jewelry District, is recognized as the fastest-growing club within the WFDB. With a membership exceeding 300, it proudly represents a diverse group of diamond and gemstone dealers, jewelry manufacturers, second-hand jewelers, and wholesalers. As a 501(c)(6) nonprofit, DCWC remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting members through essential services, comprehensive education, rigorous ethical standards, and impactful networking. The upcoming 2026 calendar is set to feature a robust program of educational luncheons, networking events, trading gatherings, and expanded member initiatives, all designed to further empower and connect the vibrant jewelry community.
