Chronoswiss Unveils Space Timer Gravity: A Cosmic-Inspired Timepiece
Chronoswiss, renowned for its intricate regulator timepieces, is venturing into a new aesthetic with the introduction of the Space Timer Gravity. Moving beyond its traditional designs, the brand now embraces a vibrant and expressive approach, drawing inspiration from the vastness of the cosmos. This latest addition to the Space Timer series interprets the fundamental force of gravity, showcasing a blend of classic watchmaking and celestial artistry.
The Space Timer Gravity maintains Chronoswiss's iconic 44mm stainless steel case, featuring a matte grey finish, straight lugs, a knurled bezel, and the distinctive onion crown. This design choice minimizes reflections, allowing the meticulously crafted dial to command full attention. With a robust 15.2mm thickness and 100m water resistance, the watch is engineered for both visual impact and tactile presence. Its dial is an intricate assembly of 63 components, boasting hand-guilloché patterns and laser-engraved motifs. These elements, complemented by color-shifting CVD coatings, evoke a lunar terrain and an orbital view of a planet's atmosphere, transitioning between deep greens and blues.
At the heart of the Space Timer Gravity is the automatic Chronoswiss Calibre C.308 movement, based on the reliable ETA 2895 and enhanced with an in-house regulator module. This movement, visible through a sapphire caseback, operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a 42-hour power reserve. Its sophisticated moon phase and date functions are displayed through transparent ITR2 rings that appear to float above the main dial, revealing the intricate gears beneath. The timepiece is completed with a grey nubuck leather strap and is produced in a limited series of 50 units, making it a truly exclusive offering.
The Chronoswiss Space Timer Gravity exemplifies the brand's commitment to pushing creative boundaries while honoring its watchmaking heritage. This limited edition piece is more than just a time-telling device; it is a wearable work of art that invites us to ponder the wonders of the universe and the remarkable ingenuity of human craftsmanship. It serves as a reminder that precision and beauty can coexist, inspiring awe and a deeper appreciation for both the cosmos and the mechanical marvels we create.
