CBG Event in Las Vegas Concludes with Success, Phoenix Event Announced for September

June 10

The Continental Buying Group (CBG), a leading consortium for independent jewelry retailers across North America, recently wrapped up a productive two-day gathering in Las Vegas. This exclusive event, held on May 26 and 27, 2026, at Caesars Palace, served as a vital platform for its extensive network of retail members and suppliers. Attendees engaged in various activities, including strategic purchasing, professional networking, educational sessions, and community building, reinforcing CBG's commitment to fostering growth and collaboration within the jewelry sector.

A significant highlight of the Las Vegas event was the continued expansion of the Curated Designer Project (CDP), CBG's initiative to showcase innovative independent fine jewelry designers. What began as a four-designer display at a previous Miami event has now grown to feature eight distinct talents, each contributing a fresh creative vision to the marketplace. Participating designers included notable names like Chris Ploof Designs, Folium, GemologyGeek, Joyla Jewelry, Rahul’s Jewels, Melinda Lawton Jewelry, Jason McLeod Jewelry, and ANTY. In addition to showcasing established and emerging talent, the event also introduced Timepiece Grading Specialists (TGS) as a new exhibitor. Founded by Fred Savage, TGS provides independent watch grading and authentication services, expanding CBG’s offerings in the rapidly growing pre-owned watch market.

Following the success in Las Vegas, CBG is now focusing on its upcoming event, 'The CBG Experience,' set to take place from September 13 to 16, 2026, at the Arizona Biltmore Resort in Phoenix. This forthcoming event will introduce several enhancements based on member feedback, including the replacement of traditional breakfast sessions with interactive Strategy Roundtables designed to facilitate deeper peer-to-peer discussions on industry challenges and opportunities. Evening programs will feature hosted cocktail receptions with distinctive activations, promoting a more relaxed and engaging environment for relationship building. A key feature of the Phoenix event will be a keynote address by Rishad Tobaccowala, a renowned expert in business transformation and marketing innovation. Tobaccowala, known for his insights on integrating data with human intuition, will share his perspectives on how independent businesses can thrive in an evolving landscape shaped by artificial intelligence and distributed work. Furthermore, 'The Essentials at CBG' will debut in Phoenix, offering a dedicated pavilion for emerging and value-oriented suppliers to connect with CBG’s retail members in a structured setting.

The Continental Buying Group is continuously evolving to meet the dynamic needs of the jewelry industry, providing invaluable opportunities for its members to learn, grow, and connect. By fostering innovation and collaboration, CBG empowers independent jewelers and suppliers to achieve sustained success and navigate future challenges with confidence.
