Armin Strom Unveils New Blue GMT Resonance Edition
Armin Strom has revealed its latest horological marvel, the Dual Time GMT Resonance Manufacture Edition Blue, building upon a lineage first introduced in 2018 and re-envisioned in 2024. This new iteration distinguishes itself with a deep blue movement set against crisp white dials, offering a fresh aesthetic perspective to this celebrated timepiece series.
The watch maintains its classic 39mm stainless steel case, distinguished by a slender 9.05mm thickness and a 44.5mm lug-to-lug measurement. Equipped with sapphire crystals on both the front and back, each featuring an anti-reflective treatment, the design offers an unobstructed view of the intricate internal mechanisms. The watch face showcases two exquisitely textured white dials, framed by white azurage chapter rings, beautifully complemented by blue PVD-coated indices and polished hands. A distinctive black day/night indicator on each display, adorned with sun and crescent moon motifs, enhances its functionality and visual appeal. Powering this masterpiece is the in-house developed ARF22 manual-winding calibre, featuring Armin Strom's patented resonance clutch system. This innovative mechanism synchronizes two independent regulating systems, allowing their balance wheels to oscillate in harmony. Operating at 25,200 vibrations per hour, the movement provides a reliable 42-hour power reserve.
A peek through the sapphire caseback reveals the stunning blue mainplate, meticulously decorated with laser-engraved relief lettering and complemented by two matching blue gear-train bridges. The rhodium-colored barrel bridge is adorned with Côtes de Genève, while black-polished elements, polished bevelling, circular graining, and perlage finishes coalesce to create a harmonious blend of traditional artistry and contemporary color. The timepiece is elegantly secured with a matte dark blue alligator strap featuring white stitching and a stainless steel pin buckle. This exclusive Dual Time GMT Resonance Manufacture Edition Blue is restricted to a production of just 50 pieces, reflecting its bespoke nature and exceptional value.
The introduction of this watch exemplifies a dedication to horological excellence, blending sophisticated technical innovation with profound artistic vision. It serves as a testament to the pursuit of perfection, inviting enthusiasts to appreciate the intricate dance of mechanics and aesthetics, reminding us that true mastery lies in the harmonious integration of form, function, and enduring beauty.
